Description

The Altea Small is a 160mm white wall light with an integrated 15W LED delivering 1200 lumens at 3000K warm white. The open-front rectangular housing directs light both up and down the wall, creating a wash effect either side of the fitting without illuminating the ceiling above or floor below. The white powder-coated metal body measures 160mm wide by 100mm high with a 100mm projection from the wall.

Designed for hallways, staircases, bedside positions and bathroom mirror surrounds (IP rating permitting — see specification), the Altea Small works as a single accent or in multiples spaced 1-2m apart to create even corridor lighting. The compact footprint suits narrow hallways and alcoves where larger wall lights would dominate. The open-front design means the fitting itself stays visually recessive while the wall becomes the illuminated feature.

The white finish pairs cleanly with white and off-white painted walls, blending the fitting into the surface, or provides contrast against darker wall colours where the rectangular form becomes more visible. At 0.5kg the fitting sits securely on plasterboard with standard cavity fixings. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated for three years of typical domestic use at approximately 20,000 hours.

Is the Altea Small dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is rated at 15W and cannot be dimmed. The non-dimmable driver inside the housing provides fixed 1200lm output at 3000K.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The specification table does not list an IP rating, which suggests this fitting is rated for dry indoor locations only. For bathroom use, check with Mantra or contact us to confirm IP rating before installation near showers, baths or wash basins.

How is the light directed?

The open-front rectangular housing directs light up and down the wall surface, washing the wall either side of the fitting. The fitting does not project light forward into the room, making it suitable for narrow hallways where forward-projecting light would cause glare.

What fixings are needed for plasterboard walls?

At 0.5kg the fitting can be mounted on plasterboard using standard cavity fixings or plasterboard anchors rated for at least 2kg. On solid masonry walls, use wall plugs and screws appropriate to the wall material.
