Description

The Altea Large is a 370mm linear LED wall light with an open-fronted white powder-coated aluminium housing and an integrated 30W LED strip delivering 2550 lumens at 4000K. The LED sits behind a diffuser panel that runs the length of the fitting, casting an even wash of cool white light across walls and ceilings without visible hotspots or dark zones.

Designed for hallways, offices and kitchens where consistent bright light is needed, the Altea Large mounts horizontally on a wall with two fixing points concealed behind the housing. The 100mm projection from the wall and 100mm height give the fitting a low-profile presence that works in corridors with limited clearance where head height is a consideration. The 4000K colour temperature delivers a neutral-to-cool white light that renders colours accurately under artificial light, making it suitable for task lighting in home offices.

The white finish is a smooth powder coat over aluminium, not gloss-painted plastic, giving a hard-wearing surface that resists discolouration from UV exposure and heat from the LED. The integrated LED cannot be replaced separately from the fitting, but the 30W rating and 2550lm output are designed to provide approximately 25,000 hours of service life before noticeable lumen depreciation. The fitting weighs 0.9kg and requires a secure fixing into a wall stud, brick or block. Plasterboard alone will not support the load over time.

The fitting is designed for dry indoor use.

Is the Altea Large dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is rated at 30W on 220-240V mains with no dimmer compatibility. If dimming is required, consider the dimmable wall light ranges or pair the Altea with a separate switched circuit.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. It has no stated IP rating, so it is for dry rooms only.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is a neutral-to-cool white light, similar to daylight on an overcast day. It is cooler than the warm 2700K-3000K typical of living room lighting but not as clinical as the 5000K-6500K used in hospitals. It works well for task lighting in kitchens and offices.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10 years at 7 hours per day. When the LED reaches end-of-life, the entire fitting is replaced.
