Description

The Altea is a 370mm linear LED wall light with an integrated 30W 3000K LED outputting 2400 lumens through an open-front trough design. The matt black exterior wraps around a gold-finished interior, which reflects and warms the light as it casts both upward and downward onto the wall surface. The trough shape creates two distinct beams of wash light with a dark centre band where the body sits against the wall.

Designed for feature walls, hallways, stairwells and either side of a fireplace or artwork, the Altea works as architectural accent lighting rather than primary illumination. The 370mm width gives enough spread to create a balanced vertical stripe of light on the wall, while the 100mm projection keeps the fitting compact enough for circulation areas. Multiple units can be spaced evenly along a corridor or gallery wall to build a rhythm of light and shadow.

The matt black finish absorbs ambient light during the day, leaving the fitting as a subtle architectural detail until switched on. The gold interior adds warmth to the reflected light and provides tonal contrast visible when viewed from the side. At 0.9kg the wall light fixes securely to plasterboard with standard fixings, and the non-dimmable LED runs on 220-240V mains without requiring a separate driver or controller.

Is the Altea dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 30W output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light is either on at full brightness or off.

What direction does the light cast?

The open-front trough design casts light both upward and downward onto the wall behind the fitting, creating two vertical beams with a dark band in the centre where the body sits. This is wash lighting for walls rather than directed task light.

Can multiple units be linked together?

Each Altea is a standalone fitting wired separately to the mains. They cannot be physically linked end-to-end, but multiple units can be installed along the same wall and controlled from the same switch circuit to create a continuous linear effect.

What fixings are needed?

The 0.9kg weight can be supported by standard plasterboard fixings or screws into masonry. The back plate has mounting holes positioned to fix directly to a standard UK wall box or to be surface-mounted with appropriate wall plugs.
