The Altea Extra Large is a 500mm linear LED wall lamp with a matt black exterior housing and a gold-tone reflective interior that channels 3200 lumens of warm 3000K light forward and downward. An integrated 40W LED module sits inside the trough-shaped body, which projects 100mm from the wall and stands 100mm tall, creating an elongated horizontal strip of ambient light.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, dining areas and hotel corridors where linear wall lighting provides ambient fill without ceiling-mounted fixtures, the Altea mounts horizontally on a standard wall plate with rear fixings concealed once the lamp is in place. The 500mm length suits walls of 2-3m width where a single fitting provides enough spread, or multiple Altea lamps can be spaced along longer gallery walls or corridors for continuous ambient effect. The open-front design directs light forward into the room rather than onto the wall itself, making the lamp more suited to ambient illumination than task lighting.

The matt black powder-coated finish on the exterior contrasts with the warm gold-tone interior, which reflects and diffuses the LED light while adding a subtle metallic accent when the lamp is switched off. The non-dimmable LED operates on 220-240V mains and draws 40W to deliver the 3200lm output, which is roughly equivalent to a 200W halogen fitting but with significantly lower heat output and longer service life. At 1.1kg the fitting has enough weight to stay flush once mounted but does not require structural wall reinforcement.

No. The integrated LED module is not compatible with dimmer switches and operates at full brightness when powered.

What room size does this suit?

The 3200lm output provides ambient fill for rooms of 15-20m² when used as supplementary lighting alongside other sources. For larger spaces or corridors, multiple Altea lamps can be spaced along the wall.

Can it be mounted vertically?

The Altea is designed for horizontal mounting with the open front facing forward. Vertical mounting would alter the light distribution pattern and is not recommended by the manufacturer.

What fixing method is used?

The lamp mounts onto a standard wall plate with rear fixings that are concealed once the fitting is in place. A qualified electrician should handle installation to ensure the mains wiring is correctly terminated inside the mounting plate.
