Description

The Altais is a 92cm linear suspension fitting nine G9 bulbs across a matt black metal frame with polished chrome accents. Each of the nine globes pairs an opal inner glass diffuser with a clear outer glass sphere, giving a layered appearance when lit. The frame extends 92cm in length and 54cm in depth, creating a branched asymmetric layout rather than a strict linear row.

Designed for kitchen islands 2.4-3m long or wide rectangular dining tables seating eight or more, the Altais provides distributed light across the full length of the worktop or table surface. The adjustable cable suspension ranges from 65cm to 155cm, allowing the fitting to be set 70-80cm above a dining table or 90-100cm above a kitchen island depending on ceiling height. Gravity toggles are included for ceiling installation on plasterboard or solid ceilings.

The matt black frame reduces reflections under daylight and pairs with stainless steel appliances, dark worktops and both warm and cool-toned interiors. The polished chrome accents on the globe mounts catch light and add contrast against the black metalwork. Each globe diffuses the G9 bulb output through the opal glass, softening direct glare while the clear outer sphere gives definition to each light source. The fitting weighs 3.2kg once assembled and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use only.

Nine 6W G9 LED bulbs are included with the fitting, providing approximately 4950 lumens combined output at 3000K warm white. The bulbs are replaceable and standard G9 LED, halogen or eco-halogen bulbs can be substituted to adjust colour temperature or brightness.

Yes. The Altais includes nine 6W G9 LED bulbs at 3000K warm white. The bulbs are replaceable with any standard G9 LED, halogen or eco-halogen up to 10W per socket.

What length kitchen island does it suit?

The 92cm frame length works best over kitchen islands between 2.4m and 3m long, positioned centrally with the frame running parallel to the island length. For shorter islands the fitting may visually dominate the space.

How is the suspension height adjusted?

The cable suspension is adjustable between 65cm and 155cm drop. The cables are shortened during installation by feeding excess cable back into the ceiling canopy and securing at the desired drop length.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

No. The Altais is designed for horizontal ceiling installation only. The branched frame layout and globe arrangement assume a level ceiling plane — installation on a sloped or vaulted ceiling would cause the globes to hang at inconsistent angles.
