Description

The Allier is a 330mm flush ceiling light built around six curved ribs of kiln-dried light wood that meet at a central brushed steel hub. An opal glass diffuser sits inside the wood frame, housing two E27 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) that cast light through the glass and between the wood ribs, creating layered illumination across the ceiling and downward into the room.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Allier suits hallways, bedrooms, low-ceilinged living rooms and cottage conversions where headroom is limited. The 178mm projection from ceiling to base keeps the fitting well clear of doorways and tall furniture. The flush mount canopy fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose, and the wood frame is pre-assembled to the central hub for straightforward installation.

The light wood shows natural grain variation across the ribs, with each fitting displaying different knot patterns and tonal shifts depending on the section of timber used. Kiln-drying reduces the moisture content of the wood before assembly, minimising the risk of warping or splitting once the fitting is installed.
