Description

This wooden hanging plaque carries a cheerful message in bold, retro-style lettering. It reads ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE & WINE, printed in bright pink with a sunny yellow shadow across a deep blue face, and the whole panel sits within a black frame with a thin gold inner edge that catches the light. At 22cm wide, 6cm high and 2cm deep it is slim and compact, so it fits a narrow stretch of wall where a larger picture would crowd the space.

We think it belongs wherever people gather over a glass: above a home bar, beside a wine rack, on a kitchen wall or in a dining room alcove. Its colours are bold enough to hold their own against a dark or brightly painted wall, and its long, narrow shape sits neatly over a doorway, a sideboard or a run of shelves. The humour is warm and good-natured rather than crude, so it suits a shared home as happily as a flat of your own, and it makes an easy, light-hearted gift that raises a smile the moment the paper comes off.

The plaque is made from wood, with the printed face set slightly back inside the frame so the lettering gains a touch of depth. A pale blue ribbon is fixed at each end to the back, ready to loop over a picture hook or a small nail, and the back itself is finished in blue for a tidy look. To keep it at its best, dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth and keep it indoors, away from damp and steam. Hang it at eye level near the drinks, or wrap it alongside a favourite bottle for a cheerful gift.
