Description

This wooden heart plaque carries a cheerful line in crisp black lettering: all you need is LOVE & A DOG. The words curve and stack down the taller side of the heart above a pair of black bone motifs, while a textured grey dog figure with floppy ears sits on the rounded right-hand side. The soft cream face lets the grey dog and the dark lettering stand out clearly, and the back is left plain and smooth. It measures 11.6cm high, 11.6cm wide and 4cm deep, a compact size that suits a shelf or a narrow windowsill without crowding it.

It stands on its own flat lower edge, so there are no hooks or fixings to think about: set it on a mantelpiece, a bookshelf, a bedside table or a hallway console by the door where the lead hangs. At 11.6cm high it sits happily alongside photo frames, candles and books, and it brings a smile to a reading nook or a home office desk too. Because the words celebrate sharing life with a dog, it makes a warm and thoughtful gift for pet lovers, and an easy one to choose for yourself if the line already describes your household.

The face has a smooth cream finish with the lettering and bones in black, and the grey dog stands slightly proud of the surface, so the piece has a raised detail you can feel as well as see. The back is plain cream, which keeps it tidy from any angle on an open shelf. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth now and then and keep it away from damp, as you would with any wooden piece. As a gift, it pairs nicely with a card and a favourite snapshot of the recipient's dog; at home, set it where you will see it every day.
