Description

The Alfa is an 8-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a central French gold knot structure from which eight polished brass arms radiate outward, each terminating in a faceted clear glass shade. The shades are multi-faceted and diamond-cut to refract light across their surfaces, while the French gold finish on the metalwork adds warmth against the clarity of the glass. Each arm accepts a G9 bulb (sold separately), allowing the fitting to provide both ambient ceiling light and decorative sparkle.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Alfa's 250mm projection from ceiling to base keeps the fitting close to the surface while the 800mm diameter provides substantial visual presence. The semi-flush format suits living rooms, dining rooms, master bedrooms and entrance halls where decorative lighting is needed without sacrificing headroom. The central knot structure and radiating arms create a symmetrical circular composition when viewed from below.

The French gold finish is a soft, warm-toned brass with a subtle brushed texture that reduces glare under daylight and pairs well with warm greys, creams, taupes and traditional wood tones. Each of the eight glass shades weighs the fitting to 7.7kg total, requiring secure fixing to a joist or ceiling support capable of carrying that load. The Alfa takes eight G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). G9 LED bulbs in 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K colour temperature are recommended for residential use. The maximum combined load is 320W, but LED bulbs allow full brightness at a fraction of that power draw.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 250mm projection from ceiling to base makes the Alfa suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m, where a full pendant would hang too low and reduce headroom. The semi-flush format keeps the fitting close to the surface while the 800mm diameter provides decorative presence.
