Description

The Alfa is a 3-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a 600mm polished chrome bar that curves into a central knot-like twist, suspending three faceted clear glass shades from adjustable arms. Each shade is cut with multiple angular facets that refract light and create prismatic reflections even when the fitting is switched off. The three G9 bulb positions (bulbs sold separately) direct light outward and downward from the faceted glass.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m where a full pendant drop would be too low, the semi-flush format sits 220mm from the ceiling, giving presence without extending into head space. The curved chrome bar and central twist give the fitting a sculptural quality that works above dining tables, in entrance halls, and in living rooms where decorative lighting is needed without dominating the sightline. The 600mm length suits rooms 3-4m wide.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light throughout the day, amplifying the decorative effect of the faceted glass. What bulbs does the Alfa take?

The fitting takes three G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. The maximum combined load is 120W, so three 40W halogen or three 4-6W LED G9 bulbs are typical. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2700K and 3000K.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable G9 bulbs. The fitting itself supports dimming but requires dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Not all G9 LED bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb specification before purchase.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 220mm projection from the ceiling works best in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m. In lower rooms the fitting may feel too close; in higher rooms a full pendant drop may be more proportional.

How is the glass cleaned?

The faceted glass shades can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth when the power is off and the bulbs have cooled. For stubborn marks, a glass cleaner can be applied to the cloth (not sprayed directly onto the fitting) to avoid liquid entering the bulb sockets.
