Description

The Alfa is a single-light wall fitting with a faceted crystal glass shade set on a polished chrome backplate. The shade is cut with multiple flat faces that catch and refract light, creating a prismatic effect when the G9 bulb inside is lit. The chrome backplate twists into a decorative knot detail at the centre, giving the fitting sculptural interest beyond the standard wall bracket form.

Designed for accent lighting in hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms (zones 2 and 3, not above baths or showers), the Alfa provides localised light rather than room-filling illumination. The compact 110mm width and 100mm projection suit narrower wall sections — alcoves beside fireplaces, corridor walls, bedroom reading positions flanking a headboard. The fitting can be used singly or in pairs for symmetrical installations.

The polished chrome finish gives a mirror-bright surface that pairs with modern chrome tapware, door furniture and contemporary metallic accents. The faceted glass is optical-quality rather than moulded, so the refraction is sharper than standard pressed-glass shades. The fitting accepts a single G9 bulb up to 40W (sold separately), and is dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 LED or halogen and a compatible dimmer switch.

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W G9 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for accent lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but only when fitted with a dimmable G9 bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The specification table does not list an IP rating, so the Alfa is suitable only for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower/bath area). It should not be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure.
