Description

The Alfa-1 is a 300mm circular flush-mounted wall and ceiling light built from white resin with an IP66 dustproof and waterproof rating. The fitting houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind a diffused white cover secured with four visible screws, and can be mounted either on walls or ceilings in fully exposed outdoor positions.

Designed for outdoor porches, patios, garage exteriors, and covered walkways, the IP66 rating protects against both dust ingress and powerful water jets, meaning the fitting can withstand direct rain and coastal spray without degrading the internal components. The flush-mount design projects only 60-70mm from the mounting surface, keeping it clear of door swings and low overhangs. The fitting is also suitable for bathrooms and wet rooms where an IP66 rating is specified.

The white resin body resists UV discolouration better than painted metal alternatives and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. The E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to the rated wattage (see Specification), giving control over colour temperature and brightness. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a dimmable bulb and compatible wall or in-line dimmer.

Yes. The fitting mounts flush to either surface using the same four-point screw fixing. On a ceiling it provides downward illumination; on a wall it casts light both forward and to the sides depending on the bulb type chosen.

The fitting itself supports dimming, but you must use a dimmable E27 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch or in-line dimmer module. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb specifications before purchasing if dimming is required.
