Description

The Alexandra Small is a 2-light crystal wall light built on a gold-finished metal frame with cascading Asfour and Diyas crystal spheres and hexagonal drops suspended in tiers beneath a band of smaller faceted crystals. Two E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the fixture behind the crystal, casting light through the faceted glass to create the characteristic crystal shimmer and refraction pattern on surrounding walls.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and smaller living room walls where a traditional decorative wall light is wanted without the scale of a chandelier, the Alexandra pairs ambient lighting with the decorative function of the crystal. The 260mm width and 160mm projection suit walls where furniture sits below (bedside tables, console tables) or in narrower hallways where deeper projection would intrude into circulation space. The gold finish provides warmth against neutral and cream wall tones common in traditional and transitional interiors.

Each tier of crystal is pinned to the gold frame, with clear and amber-tinted faceted spheres alternating with hexagonal crystal drops to give depth and texture under direct light. The crystal is optical-grade Asfour (produced in Egypt and used across Diyas fixtures), cut with consistent facets that maximise light refraction. The gold finish is applied to solid metal castings rather than plated onto thin presswork, giving a more durable and weighty finish. The combined crystal and metal construction brings the fixture to 1.6kg.

What bulbs does it take?

The Alexandra uses two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the gold finish and crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. The fixture itself does not contain dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb type and the wall dimmer model you pair it with.

How is it fitted to the wall?

The Alexandra mounts to a standard UK back plate fixed to a single-gang back box or directly to a wall with appropriate fixings. The 1.6kg weight requires secure fixing into either a masonry wall or a stud/batten where plasterboard is the surface.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe individual crystal pieces with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal fixings. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on the crystal or gold finish.
