The Alboran is a 41cm pendant light built from layered white metal panels that fold outward in overlapping tiers, creating gaps between each layer where light escapes and reflects. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the shade structure, casting light upward and downward through the geometric openings. The white powder-coated metal finish gives a soft, matte surface that diffuses reflections while maintaining clean edges.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and low-ceiling spaces where a compact pendant is needed, the Alboran's 410mm diameter provides visual presence without dominating a 4-6 person dining area. The adjustable drop from 350mm to 1500mm allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a table surface or raised higher for ambient lighting in entrance halls and living areas. The folded panel construction gives the fitting a 2.2kg weight that requires a secure ceiling rose capable of supporting that load.

The layered metal structure creates a visual rhythm as light catches the inner surfaces of each panel and spills through the gaps, producing both direct downlight and reflected ambient glow. What bulb does the Alboran take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for dining or kitchen island use.

Is the Alboran dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself does not include dimming circuitry — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb and dimmer model chosen.

What drop height is needed for a dining table?

The adjustable cable allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining table surface, which typically works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The minimum 350mm drop can be used in lower-ceiling spaces where the pendant needs to sit closer to the ceiling.

How is the layered structure cleaned?

The white powder-coated metal can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with plain water is acceptable. Avoid sprays or polishes that may leave residue in the gaps between the metal panels.
