The shades angle outward in opposing directions, creating a tiered profile that directs light both upward and downward. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) positioned inside the white lower shade.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where ambient light is needed without occupying table or shelf space, the Alboran provides diffused illumination through the white shade while the silver upper shade reflects light back toward the ceiling. The 410mm shade diameter and 8.4kg weight give the lamp stability on bare floors and rugs without requiring wall fixing. The circular base footprint measures approximately 300mm.

The layered shade configuration is inspired by overlapping wave forms, with each metal panel angled to create a sculptural silhouette when viewed from the side. What bulb does the Alboran take?

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but only when paired with both a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible mains dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not contain dimming circuitry — dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer combination used.

How stable is the base on rugs?

The 8.4kg weight and 300mm circular base footprint provide good stability on most bare floors and short-to-medium pile rugs. On thick or shag rugs, place the lamp where foot traffic is minimal to avoid tipping.

What direction does the light go?

The E27 bulb sits inside the white lower shade, which diffuses light downward and outward into the room. The silver upper shade reflects additional light upward toward the ceiling, creating indirect wash lighting that softens the overall ambient effect.
