The Alba is an 8W LED table lamp built around a white rectangular body that supports a spherical French gold diffuser at its centre. The integrated LED sits behind the gold sphere and casts warm 3000K light outward through a 120° beam angle, creating a soft halo around the metallic surface and projecting 640lm of ambient light into the surrounding space.

Designed for bedside tables, desks and shelving where soft ambient light is needed without bright overhead sources, the Alba measures 250mm square by 76mm deep, giving it a compact footprint that works in smaller bedroom and home office layouts. The white body sits on a horizontal plinth that conceals the cable entry point and provides stability on flat surfaces. The lamp plugs into standard 230V UK mains and does not require separate bulbs or lamp changes.

The French gold sphere finish is a warm-toned metallic that sits partway between polished brass and rose gold, providing enough reflectivity to catch and scatter the LED light while diffusing it softly rather than creating harsh reflections. The white body is a smooth matte finish that contrasts with the metallic sphere without competing for attention. At 2.1kg the lamp has enough weight to resist being knocked over by passing elbows or charging cables.

No. The integrated LED operates at full 640lm output when switched on and cannot be dimmed. If dimming is required, consider using the Alba on a smart plug with on/off scheduling rather than attempting to dim the light itself.

Can the LED be replaced when it eventually fails?

The LED is integrated into the lamp body and is not user-replaceable. However, at 8W and rated for years of typical residential use, the LED should outlast most conventional bulb-based table lamps before any noticeable degradation in brightness.

What colour temperature is 3000K?

3000K is warm white, similar to the light from a traditional halogen bulb. It casts a soft, slightly amber-toned light that suits bedrooms, living rooms and evening reading without the cooler blue tones of daylight-temperature LEDs.

How is the gold sphere cleaned?

The French gold sphere is a metallic finish that can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the surface and do not use abrasive cleaners or polishes that could damage the finish.
