Alba LED Table Lamp 8W 3000K - Black & French Gold

The Alba is an LED table lamp built around a polished French gold sphere set within a matt black rectangular backplate. An integrated 8W LED behind the sphere casts warm 3000K light forward through the gold finish, creating a halo effect around the sphere against the black surround. The lamp measures 250mm square with a 76mm projection from the rectangular base block.

Is the Alba dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is rated at 8W on 220-240V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The lamp has an inline switch on the cable for on/off control only.

What surfaces can it sit on?

The 76mm-deep base block sits flat on any table, shelf, console or bedside surface. At 2.1kg the lamp is stable enough for everyday use without needing to be fixed down, though care should be taken on glass surfaces where the weight might cause pressure points.

How bright is the light output?

The 640 lumens at 3000K provides enough light for reading at a bedside, working at a small desk, or illuminating a side table. The 120-degree beam angle gives a reasonably wide spread, so the lamp can light a small area rather than just a focused spot.

Does the gold finish tarnish or require cleaning?

The French gold sphere is powder-coated metal, not plated brass, so it will not tarnish. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks on the gold sphere, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid household sprays or polishes that might dull the finish.
