Description

The Alaska Mini is a ceiling fan with integrated LED lighting, combining a retractable four-blade design with a 2500lm tuneable white LED array. The fan spans 907mm when the blades are extended and retracts to 430mm when the blades fold back into the white housing, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights down to 2.4m. The DC motor runs at variable speeds controlled by remote or smartphone app, with the LED colour temperature adjustable from warm 2700K to cool daylight 5000K.

Designed for bedrooms, home offices and smaller living spaces where ceiling height limits conventional fan installation, the Alaska Mini combines air circulation and overhead lighting in a single semi-flush fitting. The retractable blade mechanism allows the fan to present as a low-profile ceiling light when stationary, with blades deploying only when the motor is activated. The DC motor delivers airflow at lower wattage and reduced noise compared to AC fan motors, running at 70W total when both lighting and fan operate simultaneously.

The white powder-coated housing and translucent acrylic diffuser give a clean circular profile that suits minimalist and contemporary interiors without dominating the ceiling plane. The remote control manages six fan speeds, LED dimming from 10-100%, and colour temperature selection across the full 2700-5000K range. The smartphone app (iOS and Android compatible) provides the same control functions plus timer scheduling, allowing the fan and light to be programmed for automatic operation at set times. The 120° beam angle from the LED array provides wide ambient coverage suitable for rooms up to approximately 15-18m².

What ceiling height does it require?

The Alaska Mini fits ceilings from 2.4m upwards. The semi-flush mount projects 355mm from the ceiling when blades are retracted and 480mm when extended and rotating. For safe clearance the blades should sit at least 2.1m above the floor when extended.

How is the colour temperature changed?

Both the remote control and smartphone app allow stepless adjustment between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool daylight. The LED array transitions smoothly across the full range, allowing you to set warmer tones for evening relaxation or cooler tones for daytime task lighting.

Is the fan noisy?

The DC motor operates more quietly than traditional AC ceiling fan motors. At lower speeds the fan runs almost silently. At the highest of the six speed settings some motor hum and blade air noise is audible, but remains quieter than most ceiling fans of similar diameter.

Does it work without the app?

Yes. The supplied remote control provides full access to fan speed, LED dimming and colour temperature without needing a smartphone. The app adds scheduling and timer functions but is not required for day-to-day operation.
