Description

The Alaska Mini is a 43cm ceiling fan with integrated LED downlight, four retractable transparent blades, and a matt black housing. The fan runs on a DC motor controlled via remote handset or smartphone app, allowing independent adjustment of fan speed, LED brightness, and colour temperature. The LED provides 2500 lumens at 70W across a tuneable white range from 2700K warm white to 5000K cool white.

Designed for bedrooms, home offices, and smaller living rooms where ceiling height is limited or space is at a premium, the Alaska Mini offers both air circulation and overhead lighting in a single fitting. The blades retract into the housing when the fan is switched off, reducing the visual footprint to a compact 43cm disc. When the fan runs, the blades extend to a 90.7cm sweep, providing airflow across a 12-16m² room. The fitting mounts to a standard ceiling rose with a drop of 35.5cm when blades are retracted or 48cm when extended.

The DC motor runs quieter than conventional AC ceiling fans and draws less power, with speed control across multiple settings via the remote or app. The matt black powder-coated finish resists fingerprints and pairs with contemporary, industrial, and minimalist interiors. The LED driver is integrated into the housing, so no separate transformer or control gear is required beyond the in-ceiling wiring. The 120° beam angle provides general room illumination rather than focused task light.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting drops 35.5cm from the ceiling when blades are retracted and 48cm when extended. In rooms with 2.4m ceilings the fan sits at approximately 1.92m from the floor when running, which is above head height for most users. Rooms with ceiling heights below 2.3m may feel cramped.

Can the colour temperature be changed?

Yes. The integrated LED is tuneable white, adjustable between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool white via the remote or app. This allows the light to be set to a warm tone for evening relaxation or a cooler tone for daytime working.
