Description

The Mantra Alaska is a 500mm diameter ceiling fan with integrated LED lighting, retractable blades and dual remote and app control. The fan combines a DC motor driving four retractable ABS blades with an integrated 80W LED light source delivering 3300 lumens through a 500mm acrylic diffuser. The LED output is tuneable from warm 2700K to cool 5000K and fully dimmable via the supplied remote or the Mantra app.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Alaska fits rooms up to approximately 20-25m² where both ceiling light and air circulation are needed without running two separate fittings. The retractable blade mechanism folds the four blades up into the body housing when the fan is switched off, leaving a clean disc profile of 500mm diameter and 355mm drop. When the fan runs, the blades extend out to a 1060mm swept diameter, creating airflow across the room without the visual clutter of permanently visible blades.

The white powder-coated metal housing pairs with white ABS blades and a white acrylic light diffuser, giving a cohesive monochrome finish that works in both all-white interiors and as a neutral ceiling fixture in rooms with colour on the walls. The DC motor runs at multiple speeds controlled via the remote, with low-speed operation quiet enough for bedroom use overnight. The tuneable colour temperature allows the light to be set to warm evening tones for relaxation or cool daylight tones for task work, matching natural light cycles without changing bulbs.

The app control (via Mantra's proprietary system) allows scheduling, so the fan and light can be set to turn on or off at specific times, and both lighting and fan speed can be adjusted from a smartphone without needing the physical remote. The 7.3kg weight requires a ceiling mount rated for fan installation, and the fitting draws 80W total when both light and fan run at maximum simultaneously.
