Description

The Alaska is a 106cm ceiling fan with integrated LED lighting, retractable blades and dual remote/app control. The matt black DC motor housing contains an 80W LED producing 3300lm across a tuneable 2700-5000K colour temperature range, giving warm white to cool daylight at the touch of the remote. Four transparent blades extend during operation and retract flush against the motor housing when switched off, reducing the visual presence when the fan is idle.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan kitchen-dining spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Alaska pairs air circulation with functional overhead lighting in a single fitting. The DC motor runs silently enough for use in sleeping spaces and provides variable speed control through six settings. The 120° beam angle from the LED spreads light widely across the room without creating a bright central hotspot. Both the remote and smartphone app allow independent control of fan speed, light brightness and colour temperature without needing separate wall switches.

The 500mm motor diameter with blades retracted expands to 1060mm when the blades deploy, giving airflow coverage suitable for rooms up to approximately 20m². The matt black finish on the motor housing and blade arms pairs cleanly with monochrome, industrial and contemporary interiors. At 7.3kg the unit requires secure ceiling fixings into joists or noggins — the mounting plate and hardware are included but professional installation is recommended for the electrical connection and structural fixing.
