Alaska 6 Light Chandelier/Semi-Flush Ceiling Light 64cm - Satin Nickel

The Alaska is a 6 light chandelier with six faceted glass shades mounted on curved satin nickel arms radiating from a central satin nickel hub. Each shade combines frosted and clear glass panels in a geometric star-cut profile, housing an L1/SGU10 bulb (included). The fitting can be installed as either a semi-flush ceiling light with a minimum drop of 480mm or as a pendant chandelier with a maximum drop of 770mm, adjustable on installation via the telescopic stem.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and bedrooms where a 640mm diameter fits comfortably without dominating the space, the Alaska suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The curved arms create a balanced radial composition that works well over round or square dining tables up to 1.8m, or as ambient lighting in rooms up to 20m². The satin nickel finish softens reflections and pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors, while the faceted glass creates textured light patterns on surrounding surfaces when lit.

The combined metal frame and glass shades give the Alaska a 3.8kg presence, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or suitable anchor point. The non-dimmable L1/SGU10 bulbs run at 2700K warm white with a total power consumption of 54W across all six bulbs. The faceted glass shades diffuse direct glare while allowing enough transparency to see the bulb forms inside, balancing decorative and functional lighting roles. Can this be installed as both a chandelier and a semi-flush light?

Yes. The Alaska includes a telescopic stem that adjusts from a minimum drop of 480mm (semi-flush configuration) to a maximum drop of 770mm (pendant configuration). The drop is set during installation depending on ceiling height and the desired position above the surface below.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Alaska ships with six L1/SGU10 bulbs at 2700K warm white. These are integrated into the fitting and rated for approximately 20,000 hours of use.

Is the Alaska dimmable?

No. The included L1/SGU10 bulbs are non-dimmable. Attempting to use this fitting with a dimmer switch may result in flickering or damage to the bulbs.
