Alaska 11cm 1 Light Pendant Light - Satin Nickel

The Alaska is an 11cm faceted glass pendant light with a satin nickel canopy and suspension stem. The glass shade tapers downward in a geometric profile with sharp facets that catch and refract light as it passes through, creating a crystalline effect against ceilings and walls. A single GU10 lamp sits inside the shade, included as a 9W CFL at 2700K warm white.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Alaska includes a 9W GU10 CFL bulb at 2700K warm white. This can be replaced with any standard GU10 LED, halogen or CFL if a different colour temperature or output is needed.

Is it dimmable?

No. The included CFL is not dimmable. Replacing it with a dimmable GU10 LED and pairing with a compatible dimmer switch would enable dimming, but this is not supported by the supplied bulb.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The adjustable drop from 200mm to 2000mm means it can be set as a close-to-ceiling fitting in rooms with 2.2-2.4m heights, or extended over worktops and tables in rooms with higher ceilings. For a typical hallway or bathroom with standard ceiling height, the 200-400mm range works well.

Can the glass be cleaned?

Yes. The faceted glass can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth when the power is switched off and the bulb has cooled. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or getting moisture into the lampholder.
