Description

The Akira is a 6 light linear chandelier built on two parallel polished chrome arms spanning 1040mm, each carrying three E14 bulbs housed in crystal glass cups beneath cream fabric drum shades. The chrome frame extends from a central vertical column suspended on an adjustable chain with a drop range of 600-1550mm, allowing the fitting to be set to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and large hallways where linear rather than radial light distribution works better, the Akira's 1040mm span suits tables between 1.6m and 2.2m long without overwhelming the space. The two-arm layout places three lights at each end, creating balanced illumination across the length of the table while leaving the central zone less cluttered than a traditional five or six-arm radial chandelier. The 220mm depth keeps the profile relatively low, making the fitting suitable for rooms with ceiling heights above 2.4m.

Each of the six crystal glass cups sits directly below the cream fabric shade, which diffuses the light from the E14 bulb inside and prevents glare when seated at table level. The polished chrome finish on the frame and canopy reflects ambient daylight during the day and the glow from the bulbs in the evening, amplifying the overall brightness without adding wattage. The cream shades soften the colour temperature of the light and pair comfortably with both warm whites (2700-3000K) and neutral whites (3500-4000K) depending on the bulb choice.
