Description

The Ahrendale is a 152mm mini pendant built around a cylindrical Vetro Mica shade enclosed within an anvil iron mesh cage, suspended on a height-adjustable rod from a mixed-metal canopy. The canopy pairs dark iron with a natural wood collar detail, and the rod can be set anywhere from 437mm to 1295mm drop on installation. An E27 socket inside the Vetro Mica shade houses a bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for kitchen islands, hallway runs and dining nooks where compact overhead lighting is needed, the Ahrendale suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The 152mm diameter sits comfortably over a breakfast bar or side table without dominating narrow spaces, and multiple pendants can be hung in a row over longer islands or counters. The mesh cage provides impact protection for the inner shade while allowing light to escape in all directions.

The anvil iron finish on both the mesh and the canopy sits in the grey-black spectrum, darker than brushed nickel but lighter than matt black, with a slightly textured surface that softens reflections. The Vetro Mica shade diffuses the bulb light into a warm glow that reads through the open mesh pattern, creating overlapping light and shadow on surfaces below. The wood collar at the canopy adds warmth to the metalwork and bridges industrial and farmhouse interior styles.

What bulb does it take?

The Ahrendale takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the Vetro Mica shade.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation by cutting or threading the rod to the desired length between 437mm and 1295mm. Once the canopy is fixed to the ceiling, the drop cannot be changed without removing the fitting.

What spacing is recommended for multiple pendants?

Over a kitchen island or counter, space Ahrendale pendants 600-750mm apart centre-to-centre. For a 1.8m island, two pendants work well; for a 2.4m island, three pendants provide balanced coverage.

Is the mesh cage removable for cleaning?

The mesh cage is fixed to the top and bottom rings of the fitting and is not designed for removal. The Vetro Mica shade can be accessed from below for cleaning once the bulb is removed.
