Description

The Aethera Large is a 200mm diameter white table lamp built from a powder-coated metal stem and circular base, topped with a cylindrical fabric-wrapped PVC shade. The lamp stands approximately 400mm tall including the shade, with a single E27 bulb fitting inside the shade casting light through the white fabric diffuser. The metal frame is finished in a bright white powder coat that resists chipping and discolouration.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables next to sofas, or desk surfaces in home offices, the Aethera Large provides localised ambient light within a 2-3m radius. The cylindrical shade diffuses light evenly in all directions rather than directing it downwards, making it better suited to ambient lighting than task reading. The 1730mm cable allows the lamp to be positioned away from the wall socket or routed through cable management on a desk. The IP20 rating limits it to dry interior rooms only.

The fireproof PVC core of the shade is wrapped in a soft white fabric that softens the light output and hides the bulb from direct view. The circular metal base provides a stable footprint of 200mm diameter, keeping the lamp upright on bedside tables and occasional tables without needing to be weighted. The white-on-white finish pairs cleanly with Scandinavian, minimalist and contemporary interiors where neutral tones dominate. From Ideal Lux Italy, the lamp carries a 5-year warranty.

What bulb does it take?

The Aethera Large takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient lighting.

Is it dimmable?

No. The lamp is not factory-rated for dimmer compatibility. Using it with a dimmer switch may cause bulb flicker or early failure.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means it is suitable for dry interior rooms only and must not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any space where it may be exposed to moisture or splashing.

How is the shade cleaned?

The fabric-wrapped shade can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays which may discolour the white finish.
