The Aethera is a 20cm cone lampshade in beige textured fabric with a white inner lining that reflects light back through the shade. The tapered cone shape narrows from a 20cm base diameter to approximately 12cm at the top ring, creating a directional downlight while allowing some light to escape upwards through the top aperture.

Designed to fit standard table lamp bases with E27 or B22 bulb holders, the Aethera suits bedside tables, side tables in living rooms, and console tables in hallways where a compact shade is needed without overwhelming the base. The 20cm diameter works on lamp bases between 25-35cm tall, maintaining balanced proportions without the shade appearing too large or small for the base.

The beige fabric has a visible linen-style weave texture with small flecks throughout, adding surface interest under daylight while softening the light output when the lamp is switched on. The white cotton inner lining prevents the beige outer fabric from absorbing too much light, maintaining brightness in the room while the outer fabric colour tones down the harshness of a bare bulb. The cone shape concentrates more light downwards than drum or empire shades, making it more suitable for task lighting applications like reading lamps.
