The Aethera is a 40cm diameter cone lampshade in black fabric with a white interior lining. The tapered drum shape narrows from a 40cm top diameter to a slightly smaller base, creating a classic cone silhouette that suits both pendant conversions and table lamp bases. The black outer fabric diffuses light while the white lining inside reflects it downwards and outwards.

Designed as a replacement shade for pendant fittings, table lamps and floor lamps with compatible fittings, the Aethera suits bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and dining areas where a neutral shade is needed to match existing décor. The 40cm diameter works over side tables, bedside tables and console tables, or as a pendant shade hung 60-80cm above a dining table or kitchen island. The fabric construction softens the light output compared to glass or metal shades.

The black fabric outer surface absorbs ambient light during the day, presenting as a solid matt black form when the lamp is off. When lit, the white lining reflects the bulb's output while the black fabric controls glare and prevents light spill upwards. The 40cm size provides enough coverage for E27 or E14 bulb fittings without overwhelming smaller rooms, and the cone taper prevents the shade appearing too boxy or squat on a base.
