The Aethera is a 450mm diameter drum pendant light with a white fabric shade and a single E27 bulb fitting suspended on a 2m adjustable cable. The shade is a simple cylinder with no visible hardware on the outside, giving a clean profile that works as both ambient and task lighting depending on bulb choice and placement height.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room seating areas, the Aethera suits rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. The 2m cable can be shortened during installation to set the shade 600-800mm above a dining surface or 1.8-2.2m above floor level for ambient room lighting. The white fabric diffuses light evenly in all directions while preventing glare from the bulb itself.

The IP20 rating limits the pendant to dry interior spaces only. The fabric shade is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and LED bulb, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness for task work to low ambient glow for evening use. The 450mm diameter and 770mm drop (shade height plus visible cable below the ceiling rose) give the pendant enough presence for a 1.2-1.4m dining table or a kitchen island up to 1.8m long without overwhelming smaller spaces.

Yes, the fitting itself is dimmable. You will need a compatible dimmer switch on the wall circuit and a dimmable LED bulb. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not respond to dimmer input and may flicker.

What height should it hang at?

For a dining table, hang the shade 600-800mm above the table surface. For ambient room lighting, position the bottom of the shade 1.8-2.2m above floor level. The 2m cable allows adjustment during installation to suit different ceiling heights.

Can the fabric shade be cleaned?

The white fabric can be dusted with a soft brush or vacuumed gently using an upholstery attachment. For marks, spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water. Do not soak the fabric or use household sprays, as these may stain or damage the material.
