Description
The Adams is a 498mm glass orb chandelier with four E14 bulbs housed inside a clear glass sphere, encased by an antique nickel metal frame. The frame consists of vertical ribs that arc around the glass, meeting at cast rosette medallions at the top and bottom poles. A matching rosette appears on the chain suspension strap, and the ceiling canopy carries the same ornamental detailing.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Adams provides ambient light filtered through the clear glass sphere. The 1524mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 832mm and 2356mm on installation, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceilings up to double-height spaces. The glass orb diffuses the four bare-bulb light sources without completely obscuring them, so decorative filament bulbs show their form when lit.
The antique nickel finish provides a darker, aged metallic tone compared to polished or brushed nickel, with subtle tonal variation across the metal ribs and rosettes that references Victorian and early-20th-century lantern fittings. The glass sphere is held within the metal frame by a lower ring that screws into the base rosette, allowing the glass to be removed for cleaning or bulb changes without dismantling the chain. The fitting weighs approximately 5kg once assembled, requiring a ceiling fixing suitable for the combined weight of metal, glass and chain.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Adams take?
The chandelier takes four E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. The clear glass sphere shows the bulb forms when lit, so decorative filament LED bulbs work well here.
Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
The chain length is set during installation and cannot be adjusted afterwards without taking the chandelier down and re-threading the cable. The 1524mm chain allows drops between 832mm and 2356mm to be set on fitting.
How is the glass sphere cleaned?
The lower ring unscrews from the base rosette, allowing the glass sphere to be removed. Clean with warm water and a soft cloth, dry thoroughly, and refit by screwing the ring back into the base.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 832mm plus the 679mm fitting height totals 1511mm from ceiling to bottom of the chandelier. This works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, leaving approximately 1m clearance beneath the fitting.
