Description

The ESP accessible toilet alarm power, light and buzzer module is the central control unit for UDTA disabled toilet alarm systems, combining mains power supply, an illuminated red LED triangle indicator and an 80dB audible buzzer in a single white wall-mounted housing. The module connects to pull-cord and reset stations elsewhere in the accessible toilet, sounding the alarm when the cord is activated and silencing it when the reset button is pressed.

Designed for commercial, public building and care facility installations where Building Regulations require accessible toilet alarm systems, the module mounts to the wall using the included surface back box and draws 240V AC mains power via a fused spur or local isolator. The red LED triangle on the front face illuminates when the alarm is triggered, providing a visual indicator to staff approaching the door that assistance is needed, while the 80dB buzzer alerts staff within earshot.

The white urea housing is impact-resistant and wipe-clean, measuring 92mm square with a 48mm projection from the wall once the surface back box is fitted. The module is typically positioned outside the accessible toilet door at approximately 1500mm from floor level, where both the light and sound alerts can be noticed by staff or visitors in adjacent corridors. The system architecture allows multiple reset points and pull cords to be wired to this single central module.

Frequently Asked

What's included with this module?

How is the module powered?

The module requires a 240V AC mains connection, typically wired from a fused spur or local isolator near the accessible toilet. The electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

Where should the module be mounted?

The module is typically mounted outside the accessible toilet door at approximately 1500mm from floor level, where both the visual red LED indicator and the 80dB audible alert can be noticed by staff or visitors in adjacent corridors or waiting areas.

Can the buzzer volume be adjusted?

The 80dB output is fixed and designed to meet Building Regulations requirements for audible alerts in accessible toilet alarm systems. The buzzer cannot be adjusted or muted independently of the reset button press.
