Description

The Acanto is a 2-light wall light built around a polished chrome scrollwork frame with two upward-facing E14 lampholders, each positioned above a cut crystal pan and finished with a black silk clip-on shade. The chrome frame curves in a symmetrical scroll pattern that extends 160mm from the wall, with the crystal pans sitting just below the bulb position to catch and refract light when the lamp is lit.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms where wall-mounted accent lighting is needed without pendant drop or ceiling fixing, the Acanto mounts at picture-rail or head height to provide mid-level ambient light. The 310mm width and 360mm height suit walls with at least 400mm of clear vertical space. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs (sold separately) and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, allowing the light level to be adjusted for different times of day or mood.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and gives the frame a mirror-bright surface that works in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The black silk shades contrast with the chrome to add visual weight and prevent the fitting from appearing too light against pale walls. The cut crystal pans beneath each bulb add decorative sparkle when the lamp is switched on, catching the downward light from the E14 source and throwing small refractions across nearby surfaces. What bulbs does the Acanto take?

The lamp takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs (also called SES or small screw cap), sold separately. Most users pair this with E14 LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K warm white for a soft ambient glow through the black shades.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs and connected to a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The lamp itself does not contain dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen.

How far does it project from the wall?

The scrollwork frame projects 160mm from the wall at its furthest point. This means the lamp needs at least 200mm of clear space in front of the wall to avoid obstruction when walking past.

Can the shades be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The black silk shades are clip-on and can be removed by hand for dusting or spot-cleaning. The chrome frame can be wiped with a soft dry cloth, and the crystal pans can be cleaned with a barely-damp microfibre cloth and dried immediately to prevent water marks.
