The Abucay Vase is a round, globe-shaped vase in a brushed brass finish, with a small circular opening set into the top of the sphere. It stands 22.5cm tall and measures 25cm across, so it is slightly wider than it is high and sits low and settled on a surface. The body is aluminium, and the brushed gold surface carries fine lines that soften reflections, giving a warm sheen rather than a mirror shine. It is unmistakably a ball, and that simple shape is what gives it presence on a shelf.
