Description

The Abbey is a single-arm wall light finished in hand-brushed silver sand with a gold pleated fabric shade over an E14 candle bulb fitting. The metal frame extends 264mm from the wall, curving upward from an oval backplate through a decorative urn-shaped candle cup to support the 152mm-wide mushroom-pleated shade.

Designed for hallways, staircases, bedroom bedside positions and living room accent lighting, the Abbey sits in the traditional North American wall sconce category — decorative fittings that provide localized ambient light rather than task lighting. The pleated fabric shade diffuses the bulb output into soft indirect light, reducing glare while maintaining visibility of the shade's texture and gold lining when lit.

The silver sand finish is a hand-applied metallic coating with visible brushwork that gives the metal surface a mid-tone between polished silver and antique pewter. The gold shade lining reflects warm-toned light back through the pleated fabric, creating a warmer output than the frame finish alone would suggest.
