Description

The Knightsbridge CL5KW is a 5W E14 LED smart candle bulb offering full RGB colour control and adjustable colour temperature from warm 2700K to cool 6500K white light. The bulb connects via Wi-Fi (2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) and is controlled through the SmartKnight mobile app, allowing remote on/off, dimming, colour selection, and scheduling from anywhere with internet access. The frosted polycarbonate candle shell measures 38mm diameter by 112mm height and outputs 440 lumens at full brightness.

Designed for decorative fittings with small Edison screw (SES/E14) sockets including chandeliers, wall lights, table lamps and candelabra fittings, the bulb can be grouped with up to 100 other Knightsbridge smart fittings to create zones and scenes controlled together. Voice control is supported via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and the app allows scheduling to automate on/off times throughout the day. The bulb retains manual override at the physical wall switch, so it can be turned on/off conventionally when needed.

The RGB mode delivers saturated colour across the full spectrum, while the CCT mode provides adjustable white light from warm candlelight tones to bright daylight for task lighting. Dimming is stepless via the app with no additional hardware required. The bulb requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection during setup — dual-band routers may need the 5GHz band temporarily disabled during pairing, then re-enabled once the bulb is connected. The polycarbonate construction carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry locations only and a 2-year warranty.

Does it work with standard dimmer switches?

No. The bulb is dimmable via the SmartKnight app only and does not require or work with traditional wall-mounted dimmer switches. It operates on a standard on/off switch, with all dimming and colour control handled through the app.

What fittings is it suitable for?

The E14 (small Edison screw) base fits chandeliers, wall lights, table lamps and decorative fittings designed for candle bulbs. The 38mm diameter and 112mm height are typical for E14 candle bulbs, but check your fitting's dimensions if space is tight.

Can I control multiple bulbs together?

Yes. The SmartKnight app allows grouping of up to 100 Knightsbridge smart fittings or bulbs to create zones that can be controlled simultaneously. Scenes can be saved to recall specific colour and brightness combinations across grouped bulbs.

Does it need a hub or bridge?

No. The bulb connects directly to your Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only) without requiring a separate hub or bridge. If you have a dual-band router, you may need to temporarily disable the 5GHz band during initial setup, then re-enable it once the bulb is paired.
