Description

The Knightsbridge 5A fuse is a BS 1362 certified cartridge fuse rated for 230V 50Hz mains circuits. Each fuse measures 6.35mm diameter by 25.4mm length, fitting standard UK plug fuse holders and consumer unit fuse carriers. ASTA approval confirms independent testing to British safety standards.

5A fuses protect lighting circuits and low-power appliances drawing up to 1,150W on 230V mains. Common applications include table lamps, standard lamps, decorative lighting, battery chargers, alarm clocks, radios and other low-draw domestic equipment where a 3A or 5A fuse provides closer protection than a 13A. Using the correct fuse rating prevents cable overheating if a fault develops in the appliance or circuit.

The ceramic body with nickel-plated end caps provides reliable thermal and electrical performance across the fuse's rated service life. Each pack contains 10 fuses supplied on a Knightsbridge blister card with euro slot for retail display. The fuses carry a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.
