Description

The Knightsbridge SUR5LEDI is a 55W LED suspended linear fitting with a 1500mm white profile housing integrated SMD LEDs rated at 4800lm output. The fitting distributes light in a 75% downlight to 25% uplight ratio, casting the majority of the 4000K cool-white output onto desks and floors below while sending a quarter of the light upward to soften ceiling shadows and reduce contrast in the space.

Designed for open-plan offices, meeting rooms, reception areas and institutional corridors, the fitting hangs on a 2-metre suspension kit (included) from the ceiling rose. The 1500mm length and 200mm width cover workstations and conference tables efficiently without needing multiple fittings in a row. The opal diffuser spreads the 110° beam angle evenly, eliminating hard shadows and reducing glare on computer screens. Push-fit terminals and loop-in/loop-out wiring simplify installation and allow daisy-chaining multiple fittings on a single circuit.

The pressed steel frame and polypropylene diffuser give the fitting a 45mm projection when suspended, keeping the profile slim even in lower-ceiling commercial spaces. The white finish matches standard suspended ceiling grids and painted ceilings without adding visual weight. The non-dimmable constant-current driver operates at 230V 50Hz mains and requires no external control gear. At 126lm/W LED source efficacy and 50,000-hour L70B50 lifespan, the fitting delivers functional commercial lighting with low running costs and minimal maintenance over its working life.

What does direct/indirect distribution mean?

The fitting sends 75% of its light output downward (direct) onto the workspace below, and 25% upward (indirect) onto the ceiling. This reduces ceiling-to-workspace contrast and softens shadows compared to fully direct downlights.

Is this dimmable?

No. The constant-current driver operates at full output only and is not compatible with dimmer switches or 0-10V/DALI dimming protocols.

What ceiling height is suitable?

The 2-metre suspension kit allows the fitting to be installed in spaces with ceiling heights from approximately 2.5m to 4.5m. For lower ceilings the suspension cables can be shortened during installation.

Can multiple fittings be connected together?

Yes. The push-fit terminals support loop-in/loop-out wiring, allowing several fittings to be daisy-chained on a single circuit. This simplifies wiring in rows of suspended fittings over desks or along corridors.
