Description

This glass photo frame carries the words '50 wonderful years' in a flowing gold glitter script across a pale grey glass face. A foiled gold glitter print of open blooms, buds and leaves sweeps in from the top right and bottom left corners, leaving the centre clear for your picture. The frame is square, 21cm high and 21cm wide and just 1cm deep, and it holds a single 6 x 4in photograph in landscape. There is no mount, so the picture sits close behind the glass and the floral print does the framing.

It stands on its own, so it needs no wall and no fixings: set it on a mantelpiece, a sideboard, a dresser or a bedside table, wherever a favourite photograph deserves a quiet place of honour. The pale grey and gold sit easily with white, cream, soft grey and natural wood, and the glitter catches the light from a nearby lamp or window. With its printed words, it makes a keepsake gift for anyone celebrating a fifty-year milestone, ready to hold a photograph from the day itself or a treasured picture from years gone by.

The glass front carries the print, and a black backing with a fold-out strut supports the frame from behind on any flat surface. Two small turn clips at the back hold the backing in place, so changing the photograph takes a moment. To care for it, dust the glass with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it with a lightly damp cloth and dry it straight away, avoiding scrubbing over the glitter print. We like it on a shelf at eye level, where the gold script reads clearly, and for a gift, slip a favourite photograph inside before you wrap it so it is ready to stand the moment it is opened.

What colour is the frame?

The glass is a very pale grey. It is printed with gold glitter florals and the words '50 wonderful years' in gold script, and the backing is black.

How do I clean the glass?
