Description
The Knightsbridge 4W LED candle bulb uses visible filament technology inside a clear glass envelope to replicate the appearance of a traditional incandescent candle bulb while drawing 90% less power. The B22 bayonet base fits standard UK bayonet lamp holders, and the 35mm diameter candle shape suits exposed-bulb fittings where the lamp itself is part of the aesthetic.
Designed as a direct replacement for 40W incandescent candle bulbs in chandeliers, wall sconces, candelabra fittings and table lamps, the 4W LED produces 485lm at 2700K warm white. The 320-degree beam angle casts light in all directions rather than as a focused spot, making it suitable for general ambient lighting. The clear glass shows the LED filament arrangement when the bulb is off and when lit, so it pairs well with decorative fittings where the bulb is visible.
The bulb is dimmable with most trailing-edge LED dimmers, though compatibility should be tested before installation as performance varies between dimmer models. The 15,000-hour L70B50 rating means the bulb will maintain at least 70% of its initial 485lm output for 15,000 hours of typical use. At three hours per day, this translates to approximately 13 years of service. The CRI rating above 80 renders warm-toned interiors, wood finishes and skin tones accurately without the colour shift seen in cheaper LEDs.

Frequently Asked
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes, it is compatible with most trailing-edge LED dimmers. Performance varies between dimmer models, so test compatibility before installing multiple bulbs. Leading-edge dimmers designed for older incandescent lamps may cause flicker or reduced dimming range.
What is the light output compared to an incandescent?
This 4W LED produces 485lm, equivalent to a 40W incandescent candle bulb. The 2700K colour temperature matches the warm white tone of traditional incandescent lamps.
Can it be used in enclosed fittings?
The IP20 rating means the bulb is suitable for dry indoor locations. It can be used in enclosed glass shades and lanterns provided there is some air circulation. Fully sealed airtight fittings may reduce lifespan due to heat build-up.
How long does the bulb last?
The L70B50 rating of 15,000 hours means the bulb will maintain at least 70% of its initial brightness for 15,000 hours. At three hours per day, this is approximately 13 years of use.
