Description
The Knightsbridge 45W constant current LED driver delivers adjustable output between 350mA and 1050mA, selectable via DIP switches on the driver housing. The driver integrates DALI2 digital dimming protocol, allowing control via DALI networks in commercial and multi-zone residential installations, with a fallback switch-dim function for non-networked applications.
Designed for commercial LED luminaires in office, retail and hospitality settings, the driver ships with a quick connector that pairs directly with Knightsbridge's commercial panel lights, downlights and linear fittings. The constant current output maintains consistent brightness across the LED array regardless of mains voltage fluctuation, while the 25-70VDC output range accommodates different LED configurations without needing separate driver models for each current rating.
The polycarbonate housing measures 135mm x 72mm x 24mm and carries an IP20 rating, suitable for above-ceiling installation in dry indoor environments. Built-in protection against open circuit, short circuit and overload conditions prevents damage to the driver or connected LEDs in fault scenarios. The Class II double-insulated construction requires no earth connection, simplifying installation in retrofit applications where earthing may be unavailable or difficult to access.

Frequently Asked
How is the output current adjusted?
The driver has DIP switches on the housing that select between seven fixed current outputs: 350mA, 500mA, 600mA, 700mA, 800mA, 900mA and 1050mA. The setting is changed before installation by moving the switches to the required position according to the markings on the driver label.
What does DALI2 compatibility mean?
DALI2 is a digital lighting control protocol that allows the driver to be networked with other DALI devices on a two-wire control bus, enabling dimming, scene setting and group control from a central controller or wall panel. The driver also supports switch-dim, which allows basic dimming via repeated mains power interruptions if DALI control is not available.
Can it be used with any LED fitting?
The driver is designed for use with Knightsbridge commercial LED luminaires and ships with a quick connector that pairs directly with those fittings. It can be used with other constant current LED arrays if the current requirement matches one of the seven selectable outputs and the voltage falls within the 25-70VDC output range.
What does Class II mean for installation?
Class II double insulation means the driver does not require an earth connection. This simplifies installation in older buildings or retrofit scenarios where earthing may not be readily available, though mains live and neutral connections are still required.
