Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP switch with neon indicator is a double-pole cooker control rated at 45A on 230V mains, housed in a 2-gang size polished chrome screwless faceplate. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the switch is off, allowing safe maintenance and cleaning of connected cooking appliances without needing to turn off the circuit breaker.

Designed for controlling high-load cooking appliances such as electric cookers, range ovens and hobs, the switch can handle up to 10,350W on a single circuit. The neon indicator built into the rocker glows red when the switch is in the on position, providing a visual confirmation that the appliance circuit is live. The 2-gang faceplate size gives a larger rocker for easier operation compared to single-gang 45A switches.

The polished chrome finish is achieved through a multi-layer plating process over premium-grade steel, giving a bright reflective surface that resists tarnishing and pairs well with contemporary and traditional kitchen interiors. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The switch requires a minimum 47mm back box depth and is rated IP20 for indoor use only.
