Description

This Knightsbridge 45A double-pole switch with neon indicator provides mains isolation for cookers, ovens and hobs in a single-gang matt white screwless faceplate. The switch interrupts both live and neutral lines, allowing appliances to be safely isolated for cleaning, maintenance or emergency shutdown without touching the consumer unit.

Designed for kitchens where a single cooker control point is needed, the switch is typically mounted within 2 metres of the appliance it controls, usually at worktop height beside the cooker or hob. The red neon indicator glows when the switch is in the ON position, providing a visual check that power is flowing to the appliance. When switched OFF, the neon goes dark and the appliance is fully isolated from the mains.

The screwless matt white cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to a 47mm minimum depth back box, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The premium-grade steel construction and 25-year warranty reflect Knightsbridge's positioning as a contractor-grade brand. The 45A rating handles loads up to 10,350W at 230V, sufficient for most domestic cooking appliances including dual-fuel range cookers.
