Description

This Knightsbridge cooker control unit combines a 45A double-pole switch with a 13A switched socket behind a polished chrome flat plate with white insert. The 45A switch controls mains isolation for a single cooker or multiple cooking appliances on the same circuit, while the 13A socket provides a switched outlet for smaller kitchen appliances. Both switches feature neon indicators that glow red when the circuit is live.

Designed for kitchen installation adjacent to cooking appliances, the unit allows a cooker or hob to be isolated for cleaning or maintenance without needing to switch off the entire kitchen circuit at the consumer unit. The 13A socket is rated for standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W and is commonly used for kettles, toasters, mixers or other worktop equipment. The double-pole switching on the 45A side isolates both live and neutral lines when off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching.

The polished chrome flat plate projects just 2.5mm from the wall once installed, giving a low-profile finish that reduces projection over worktops or tiled splashbacks. The white insert behind the chrome faceplate provides contrast against the polished metal and houses the socket aperture and switch rockers.
