Description

The Knightsbridge SUR5 is a 40W LED slim line luminaire with an integrated LED delivering 3010 lumens at cool white (4000K) through a 1500mm matt black pressed steel housing. The fitting mounts either directly to the ceiling surface or via suspension cables (sold separately), allowing it to replace traditional T8 fluorescent batten fittings in commercial, retail and institutional spaces.

Designed for offices, corridors, retail stockrooms and workshop areas requiring functional overhead lighting, the SUR5 provides a 115° beam angle that distributes light evenly across wide floor areas without the banding common to narrower-beam fixtures. The 1500mm length suits rooms between 3-6m wide when used in continuous runs or paired at 2-3m intervals. Surface mounting fixes directly to plasterboard or concrete ceilings using the fixing points along the rear channel. Suspended installation uses optional suspension cables threaded through the integral mounting points to lower the fitting 300-600mm below the ceiling plane.

The pressed steel body and polycarbonate diffuser give the fitting an IP20 rating suitable for dry indoor environments, while the matt black finish reduces reflections under high ambient daylight and pairs cleanly with black acoustic ceilings and industrial-style interiors. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated for 25,000 hours of operation before requiring replacement. The fitting is Class I, requiring an earth connection during installation, and complies with ErP eco-design standards for commercial LED luminaires.
