The metalwork is antique gold, a softened tone rather than a bright plate, and the shades narrow slightly towards the top so light falls in tall, contained columns. Every drop adjusts on its own, so the shades can hang dead level or be staggered for a looser, more relaxed line.

This is a fitting for long surfaces: a kitchen island, a run of worktop, a refectory table or a bar. Four small shades spaced along a bar spread light more evenly across a length than one central fitting ever manages, and the narrow diameter keeps sightlines across the table clear. We would fit clear filament LED lamps of up to 20W here, since the amber glass rewards a visible, slow-burning filament. How do I clean the glass?

Switch off at the wall and let everything cool, then use a barely damp cloth on the amber glass and a dry one on the gold. Avoid sprays and any cream cleaner, which can dull the finish.
