The Knightsbridge SFR998MBB is a 4-gang multimedia combo plate combining two 13A DP switched sockets, dual USB charging ports (one USB-C, one USB-A), and eight modular apertures for 25x50mm Euro inserts, behind a matt black screwless faceplate. The USB ports share a 5V DC 4.0A output supporting Knightsbridge FASTCHARGE technology, which delivers up to 18W to compatible devices using USB-PD and QC3.0 protocols.

Designed for home offices, media walls, kitchen worktops and commercial workspaces where power, charging and AV connectivity converge in a single point, the combo plate accommodates satellite, TV aerial, HDMI, network and telecom modules across the eight aperture spaces. The double-pole switching on the mains sockets isolates both live and neutral when off, and twin earth terminals provide additional safety for connected equipment. The 47mm minimum back box depth requirement accommodates the deeper profile needed for the modular inserts and USB charging circuitry.

The matt black finish on the SPCC steel faceplate provides a low-sheen surface that minimises fingerprints and reflections in both domestic and commercial settings. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings once installed. Thermal and overload protection prevent the USB ports from overheating under continuous use, and the unit draws just 0.1W in standby, meeting ErP Ready efficiency standards. The FASTCHARGE mode activates when a connected device is between 0-70% battery, then reduces to standard charging above 70% to protect battery health.

The eight apertures accept any standard 25x50mm Euro modules including satellite, TV coaxial, HDMI, CAT5e/CAT6 data, RJ45 telephone and blank inserts. Modules are sold separately and clip into the apertures from the front once the back box and wiring are in place.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the USB charging circuitry and the depth of typical Euro modules. The combo plate projects 9.5mm from the wall once fitted.

How does FASTCHARGE work?

FASTCHARGE delivers up to 18W output using USB-PD and QC3.0 protocols when a compatible device is between 0-70% battery. Above 70%, the unit automatically reduces to standard charging to protect battery longevity. The two USB ports share a combined 5V 4.0A output, so charging speed varies if two devices are connected simultaneously.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The matt black cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or decorating and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or Euro modules.
