The Knightsbridge SFR998BCG is a 4-gang multimedia combo plate combining two 13A double-pole switched sockets, dual USB fast-charge ports (one USB-A, one USB-C), and eight 25x50mm Euro module apertures in a single 297.5mm-wide brushed chrome screwless faceplate. The dual USB ports share a 5V DC 4.0A output and support Knightsbridge FASTCHARGE technology, delivering up to 18W across Quick Charge and USB Power Delivery protocols.

Designed for media-rich residential and commercial installations where power, data, telecom and AV connections need to be consolidated into one wall plate, the combo format eliminates the need for multiple separate faceplates and back boxes. The eight Euro module apertures accept standard 25x50mm inserts for HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet, coaxial, satellite, speaker binding posts, or telecoms modules (modules sold separately). The two 13A sockets sit on the left half of the plate, with the USB ports positioned centrally below each socket, and the Euro module apertures occupy the right half in two vertical banks of four.

The brushed chrome finish on 201 stainless steel provides a directional grain texture that minimises fingerprint visibility and pairs with both warm-toned and cool-toned contemporary interiors. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, concealing all fixings once installed. The grey insert behind the faceplate provides a neutral surround to the socket apertures and USB ports. The plate requires a minimum 47mm back box depth and projects 9.5mm from the wall when fitted.

What Euro modules are compatible with this plate?

The plate accepts standard 25x50mm Euro modules, also known as Modular Plus inserts. Compatible modules include HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6), coaxial F-type, satellite, speaker binding posts, 3.5mm audio, XLR, and telecoms connections. Modules are sold separately. Knightsbridge and most third-party brands use the same 25x50mm standard.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is needed. The plate's recessed depth is 22.2mm and it projects 9.5mm from the wall once fitted. Deeper back boxes (50mm+) provide more cable management space behind the plate.

What is the USB charging output?

The dual USB ports (one USB-A, one USB-C) share a 5V DC 4.0A output, providing up to 18W total across both ports. Knightsbridge FASTCHARGE supports Quick Charge and USB Power Delivery protocols. When charging a single device, full output is available to that port. When charging two devices simultaneously, the 4.0A is shared between both ports.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The brushed chrome cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that is fixed to the back box. The cover can be unclipped for painting or decorating around the socket and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or Euro module connections.
