Description

The Knightsbridge 4-gang multimedia combo plate combines two 13A double pole switched sockets with USB-C and USB-A fast charge ports, plus eight 25x50mm Euro module spaces for custom AV, data or control inserts. The screwless faceplate is brushed chrome with black inserts behind each outlet aperture, giving a clean finish without visible fixings on the wall.

Designed for media walls, home offices, commercial meeting rooms and hospitality installations where power, charging and modular connectivity need to be provided from a single wall-mounted point. The dual 13A sockets handle UK appliances up to 3,120W per outlet, while the USB ports deliver a combined 5V DC 4.0A output with intelligent switching to support fast-charge protocols on compatible devices.

The eight Euro module spaces accept standard 25x50mm modular inserts including HDMI, CAT6, speaker terminals, satellite F-type connectors, phone sockets and blank plates, allowing the installer to configure the combo plate to the specific cabling and connectivity requirements of each room. The screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to a 47mm minimum back box depth, with the brushed chrome finish providing a directional grain that pairs with both contemporary and transitional interiors.

The plate is constructed from 201 stainless steel with twin earth terminals and carries IP20 rating for indoor use. The USB fast-charge feature applies higher voltage (up to 12V) to compatible devices until approximately 70% battery capacity, then reverts to standard charging to prolong battery life. The unit includes overload and heat protection with low standby power draw when no devices are connected.

A minimum 47mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the plate mechanism and wiring. The screwless cover adds 9.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

What modular inserts does it accept?

The plate accepts up to eight standard 25x50mm Euro modules. Compatible inserts include HDMI, CAT6 ethernet, speaker terminals, satellite F-type, phone sockets, USB data ports and blank plates. Modules are sold separately and can be configured to the specific connectivity requirements of each installation.

What is the USB fast-charge output?

The combined USB-C and USB-A output is 5V DC 4.0A. The fast-charge feature intelligently switches voltage between 5V and 12V depending on the device, supporting Power Delivery and Quick Charge protocols on compatible phones and tablets. Maximum output per port is 18W.

Can the screwless plate be removed for redecorating?

Yes. The brushed chrome cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that is fixed to the back box. The cover can be unclipped for painting or wallpapering around the socket and re-fitted without disturbing the wiring.
