Description

This Knightsbridge 32A 3P+N+E industrial plug provides a 5-pin connection for three-phase 415V equipment, with dedicated neutral and earth terminals. The plug accepts cable via a rear entry point with a threaded cable gland, securing the cable sheath and strain-relieving the internal connections. The red body and white cable sleeve follow IEC 60309 colour coding for 380-415V three-phase installations.

Designed for industrial, commercial and events environments where portable three-phase equipment needs to be connected and disconnected regularly, the plug suits motor-driven tools, portable generators, workshop machinery and temporary power distribution. The IP44 rating provides protection against solid objects over 1mm and water splashes from any direction, making the plug suitable for outdoor sites, warehouses and covered outdoor work areas where rain ingress is possible but not direct immersion.

The plug body measures 70mm diameter and 143mm in total length including the cable entry section. The internal terminals accept conductors up to 6mm² and are secured with captive brass screws accessible via the removable faceplate. The earth pin is longer than the phase pins, ensuring earth contact is made first on insertion and broken last on removal. The plug locks into compatible 32A 3P+N+E sockets with a quarter-turn bayonet action, preventing accidental disconnection under load.
