Description

The Maytoni Trinity X-connector joins four sections of 3-phase surface-mounted track lighting rail at 90° angles, forming a cross junction where four runs of track meet. The connector carries all three electrical phases through the intersection, maintaining circuit continuity for spotlight positioning anywhere along the connected rails. Moulded from white thermoplastic with internal copper conductors, the unit measures 166mm square with a 32mm profile when mounted.

Designed for retail lighting installations, gallery spaces and commercial interiors where track lighting needs to change direction or branch across ceiling grids, the X-connector allows track layouts to follow architectural features without breaks in the electrical feed. Each of the four arms accepts standard 3-phase track rail ends, which slot into the connector body and lock with a quarter-turn mechanism. The connector mounts directly to ceiling joists or suspended ceiling frameworks via fixing points in the central hub.

The white finish matches Maytoni's Trinity track range and blends into white or light-coloured ceilings, reducing visual clutter in track lighting layouts. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments away from moisture. The plastic housing remains cool to touch under normal operating loads up to 16A per phase on AC 220-240V supply, with all electrical contacts recessed inside the connector body for safety during lamp changes and track reconfiguration.

Frequently Asked

What track rail does this connector fit?

The X-connector is designed for Maytoni Trinity 3-phase surface-mounted track systems. Each arm accepts standard Trinity track rail ends, which slot into the connector and lock with a quarter-turn.

Can spotlights be mounted directly onto the X-connector?

No. The X-connector is a junction component that carries power between four track sections. Spotlights mount onto the track rails that connect to the X-connector, not onto the connector itself.

How is the X-connector fixed to the ceiling?

The connector mounts via fixing points in the central hub. It can be screwed directly to ceiling joists or to a suspended ceiling framework depending on the installation structure.

Is this suitable for outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating limits the connector to dry indoor environments. It is not rated for exposure to moisture, rain or outdoor conditions.
